What's not to like about San Francisco (other than the politics)? Cable cars, water front, China Town - all neat.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE SAN FRAN! This port, as well as having the chance to stay in port for 2 days, was the deciding factor in choosing this particular cruise.

We love coming to Frisco. Finally did the Alcatraz tour on this trip. It was fantastic to see and learn about its history. Don't miss the Sea Lions when you go to Pier 39. They are on the west side of the dock. So much to do in San Fran. Plan ahead and enjoy as much as you can!

I loved arriving here...passing under the bridge was incredible. We had 2 days in port which allowed us to use a local tour company, Dylan's Tours, and they were amazing! We did a night tour through the red bus company and we enjoyed that, but bring a jacket if you're riding open air up top. The Disney Family museum is in the Presidio, it was a nicely done history of the family.

Visiting Alcatraz was the reason we chose this itinerary and we were not disappointed. We actually booked our tour online with the Alcatraz center before sailing to be sure we got what we wanted. Be advised the food and drink in the waiting area for the ferry is very expensive. The ferry is only about a half of a mile from where the ship docks and is easily walked. We also walked to Fisherman's Wharf. Other attractions are within walking distance if you choose to do so.
