They had free shuttle to Seaport Village which was an excellent place to shop and walk around.

Sunny most of the day! Warm temps! Visited the zoo. As a excursion it was perfect, able to see all the animals that we were interested in. Explored most of the habitats, zoo guides knew what they were talking about.

No tour booked here. The ship docks right beside the USS Midway so there is no shortage of things to do right off the ship. We decided to walk to Seaport Village for some last minute shopping. This was the first time we had rain on the cruise and it did not dampen the mood at all, there is so much to see and do just off the ship we definitely need more time in this port. Ah yes, yet another reason to come back...

Due to a cancelled flight home we ended up spending another day in San Diego. We spent five hours at The USS Midway museum and would recommend it to anyone. Surprised at the number of homeless people during the day in public areas although they never approached us for money etc.

Absolutely loved this town. Stayed at the Kings Inn which had a nice Mexican restaurant and a great Waffle place for breakfast. Easiest port we have ever been to board the ship

We took a cab to the famous San Diego Zoo & were not disappointed. Another must see.
