Yes took an excursion. However did not like the fact we were only allotted one hour to eat and shop at Old Town. This was not enough time to do both. So we did some shopping and had to wait till we returned to the ship to have dinner.

This was a great cruise. The port of San Diego was some awesome at night the lights the airport you could see planes landing when we were leaving it was cool. Great food around there and the port was super easy with parking across the street.

I stayed at the Wyndham a couple of extra days because I love this city. Get your own hotel. The ship price for one is rediculous. The Wyndham is right across the street from the ship. They will get you at the airport and take you to the ship.

First time in USA expected it to be hussle and bussle and hi rise, but we were pleasantly surprised it was low rise and very slow paced and the people were so friendly the food eating out was fantastic we ate at the WATERFRONT BAR & GRILL on Kettner Blvd. several times always good food and pleasant atmosphere. Also went to Princess Pub and Grill in little Italy. We also ate at the Cheesecake Factory bottom of Kettner blvd. the food here was exceptional.

If your ship is in San Digo for the day, you can walk about a half a block on the waterfront and visit the Midway aircraft carrier Museum
