we didn't have excursions going to the Dawes glacier we stayed aboard ship along with everybody else but we very much enjoyed the trip up the Endicott arm to see the glacier from the ship and to be as close to all the ice that has broken off of that glacier in the last while

Took the excursion out to the glacier. Saw a mother bear with her 2 cub walking up the side of a mountain! Saw humpback whales and seals. Captain of the boat constantly spun the vessel slowly so everyone had a chance to see everything.

There was a change in the itinerary to see a glacier. It was a highlight of the trip.

Here is where we saw the Dawes Glacier. We saw a bunch of otters (or seals) scattered all over the floating glaciers. There was a bear, but I couldn't actually see it, even though the Park ranger tried her best to point it out. I didn't bring my binoculars.
