We overnighted in New Orleans pre and post. Did the ghost tour in the French Quarter which explained a lot of history for the area.

N.O. cruise terminal struggled getting us off the ship efficiently, especially considering the customs / immigration had already occurred in Miami. The facility just isn't big enough for 4000+ passengers.. However N.O., is a great port to visit and stay a few days (which we did).

We arrived early before the cruise to explore New Orleans. This was where we left and came back to, so we didn't do an excursion through Carnival. It is a fun city, and one of the reasons we chose this cruise was because we wanted to visit New Orleans.

No, but I would like to spend more time there, say before a future sailing. There is a WWII museum I'd really like to see, also wouldn't mind to see some of the city. Their food is not kosher, I wouldn't want to eat there too often. There is nothing for me to eat.
