We sailed out two or three days after Mardi Gras, you could still see beads hanging from the trees near the French Quarters. It was fun to sail down the river as embarked, defiantly different.

We arrived early so we wandered around for a while and had lunch. It was quite nice. We had good weather, too, so it made walking around outside very nice.

Took a cruise out of NOLA last week and the embarkation was probably 100% better than last year. Took us maybe 10 min total if even that before we were on the ship. Only had to go to 1 station unlike last year where it was several and this was after 1pm. Definitely made our experience much better and would recommend a cruise out of this port. I won’t lie, I was totally dreading it but NOLA has gotten their act together with the boarding process and made it a great experience!

We have always found the Port of New Orleans to be clean, efficient and organized. The staff is helpful but very focused and the boarding process benefits greatly! The added benefit to this port is the city it serves. It’s like getting two vacations in one!
