Review summary

Best 7 days I've ever had! The ship was really fun to be on with lots of options and room to move around. There was always something to do and lots of excursion options.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There was nothing the cruise could have done about the dreary and cold weather for the day so I can't hold that against them. However we hopped in one of the hot tubs to warm up a little and while we sat in it the heating unit broke and started blowing cold water. It was down for a good day or two, but they got it up and going by the end of the cruise. Our room was ready to go sooner than expected which was nice and we set sail on time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I don;t think the food on any of the ships is amazing, but it's still good. I love all the fresh fruit.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did several things on the ship including the "Michael Jackson" dance class, the mystery theater, shopping event, and more. It was fun and I loved all the options. I somehow managed to score a hole-in-one in the mini golf, and the rock wall was fun to climb. Being as sea for two days straight wore on me, not sure I could handle more than that, but it was still fun.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I was impressed with the ice skating show. How someone can do a spinning jump on a moving flood in ice skates is beyond me.

Children's Programs

I don't have any children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff on the ship was very friendly and helpful. from booking an excursion, correcting an issue on our bill, cleaning the room, serving drinks, etc. No complaint here!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Overall the ship was clean and looked great. the 4 star is because at some point a rat died on the ship and you could smell it as we left the ship. It wouldn't have been too bad except the smell seeped into the paper cups that they used to serve water in spa area. Not the most relaxing way to start.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
No different than any other interior cabin, small! It was clean, and our room decorations just made it more fun.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
We sailed out two or three days after Mardi Gras, you could still see beads hanging from the trees near the French Quarters. It was fun to sail down the river as embarked, defiantly different.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
I was not a fan of Jamaica. Part of this probably has to do with the excursion we took but it just seemed very dirty, the roads were terrible, and we were CONSTANTLY being asked for tips (at least 8 time on our one excursion).

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
LOVED this port, the areas we saw were beautiful!

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Didn't visit Cozumel much as we took a ferry over to the main land, but it looked okay from what I saw. The Explorer Park excursion was awesome! Definitely expensive for the amount of time we had there, but I would do it again.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Well organized but getting through the port and customs was kind of a pain and a little crazy. We had nothing to declare and it still took us a while to get through.
