Our embarkation time was 11:30, we arrived about 11:15 and was onboard in about 30 minutes. Very efficient and friendly staff. We have traveled out of Mobile twice since carnivals return.

Stayed at the Malaga Inn. Supposedly Alabama's most haunted hotel, less than 1/2 a mile from the cruise terminal. Didn't see any ghosts, but this is an affordable, charming historic hotel.

Most informative cruise terminal, so much information online. A lot of discounts available for local attractions. Also there is a casino an hour from port called Windcreek that offers 25 free play with the online coupon and your cruise documents that guarantees your losses up to 1000 on your first visit. If that interests you. We stopped on our way and I spent 140 and when I got off the ship I had 275 free play available and 10 dining credit. We stopped and I left there with 175 and lunch so I was happy with that. Everything was smooth getting on and off the ship. I loved that a local hotel offered port parking so no need to wait on a shuttle. I haven't seen another port with that option.

This was a fairly easy port. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The embarkation and disembarkation was smooth and very quick! Will definitely cruise from here again.
