I enjoyed my cruise, but was very disappointed in the food in the formal Dining room. which is a big feature for me. This is an older boat and would probably prefer a nicer ship in the future. The cruise Director, Benjamin is very good and helps to make up for some of it. I LOVED Cozumel and will definite cruise here again. Booked an excursion on my own to Play Mia and I HIGHLY recommend it!
Embarkation

Traffic getting to the Port was horrible - one cruise trying to leave, one coming in - one way in & out for bothe parkers and drop offs - and a train running across the road to get into the lot - not a good set-up at all! BUT once in the terminal, it was smooth start to finish - never stopped moving or waited in line for more than a few seconds. Staff in terminal all very nice & helpful!

Food and Dining

Extremely disappointed in food, especially in formal Dining room. Staff was good and nice, but litchen EXTREMELY slow in getting food out. Once it did come out, nothing was very hot - the taste bland and nothing impressive at all. Hted the "butter" they served with bread, which was never warm. Water glasses with no ice. Portions small. The only remarkable thing about the experience was the desserts, except for carrot cake which tasted like a frozen cake from the grocery store. This is NOT what I expected because the last Carnival Cruise I took, the formal dining food and service were impeccable. The buffet on Lido Deck was better, especially for breakfast. Lots of choices. Dinner again not very impressive but at least there was no long wait for it. Guys Burgers, Fiesta Cantina, Pizza MUCH BETTER, but LONG line for Pizza - one person working this is NOT enough, especially during peak times (same for the Deli). Wish Fiesta Cantina open for Dinner as this was the best food I had on the boat and sadly they closed everyday at 2:30. The wait staff in Buffet were all excellent. The Ice Cream was wonderful!!
Onboard Activities

There seemed to be plenty to do for a 5 day cruise. Facilities seemed to be well maintained even though this was an older boat. Seemed to be plenty of available chairs thru-out the decks. Appreciated the Adult Deck but it desperately needs a pool - main pool TOO small for amount of passengers and Adult Deck only has Hot Tub - who wants to get in heat while laying out in hot sun?

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff seemed to be very helpful and hard working. Everyone I encountered was nice and helpful - my only complaint is the slow service from the kitchen in the formal Dining room.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
This is an older ship - the inside however has been maintained well with, the exception of a few items show wear and tear. The outside of the ship however is rusty and the windows are all clouded over with age and not being cleaned regularly.

Ship tip
Do not expect perfection or to be blown away - just an OK ship with pretty good service but disappointing food in formal Dining Room.
Nothing to do here - hated the aggressiveness and pushyness of the vendors you HAVE to walk thru to get to the pool. Pool dirty. Long walk to and from the ships. Will not cruise here again, or will not get off of boat if I do.
We got off the Fantasy in February and I said the exact same thing. My family and I are proud members of "The Clean Plate Club". A couple nights we just couldn't. We felt awful!
Thats funny, we just got off of the Fantasy three Sundays ago after an 8 day cruise. We liked everything we did except Benjamin. You do realize that you can order as much food in the dining room as you want. We just booked our 12th cruise on Carnival, we won’t go anywhere else.
