Suva was the same as Lautoka, or maybe even worse. Don't bother unless you do an excursion that will take you to the beaches about 1hr from port.

Stay on board. Quite a scary place, everyone wants to rip you off. We were there on a Sunday and was quite intimidated by all the private cruise operators telling fibs.

Suva what can I say they are modern and clean. Don’t go into butcher shop YUCK We purchased wifi from Tappoo City was $5 and lasted for a week but on Level 4 but only works in that Shopping Centre. Food is also great here. We caught the FREE Shuttle Bus and he dropped us off to Jacks buy something and you get free Wifi that’s the deal here. Locals were friendly just make sure you stay on the streets in view of others.

This was one of the highlights of the trip. We got a bus around the city sights for an excursion followed by a visit to a local village where you got to have a mud bath followed by a dip in thermal springs then a massage. It was very enjoyable and worth the money. There was also quite a bit of shopping in Suva which was good and you got to see a lot of the local character.

Same as above.. shopped at markets, got a local to take us roaming for $30 per person. Went to a village which was an amazing experience being part of this lava ceremony and shown around their homes/village. Then went to a waterfall before taken back to the ship

If you are looking for a beach this is not the place but it is a great plac to walk around. The wild life is interesting....we saw lots of huge fruit bats (flying fox) on the Presidential grounds, tons of tiny crabs of interesting colours on the shore and interesting vegetation in Thurston Gardens. They also have an interesting fish market, again, with very friendly Fijians!

This is a highly busy port and traffic is a nightmare. I went to see the fire walkers and in the way I learned a lot about the history about the island and was surprised to see pine trees in a tropical island. I was not expecting to see so many cows around the island.

No excursion, port very dirty, does not give a favorable impression, found ship's excursions very overpriced

Take a longboat ride to see the big watergfall and take a swim. You will get wet. Bring a poncho in case of rain. The ones provided are worn.
