We went on a ship excursion. Penang is a very old looking city with crowded streets and small old structures. Our guide talked even more than any other guide we had on the cruise tours except when we walked through the East Indian part of Penang. This area looked interesting and seemed full of history, but our guide walked us through so quickly that when he turned a corner some of the group got lost. He also made no comments about the area.

Was a Friday again! Took hop on hop of bus. Not recommended!!! Bussen do not come around Evert 30mintes as promised! We waited 1/12 hrs one time and at the end had to take a local bus to get back to ship in time!

We thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Penang. We did the Princess excursion to the Royal Selangor Pewter, the Entropia Butterfly farm, and the Spice Garden. It was an excellent tour.

Don't do the shuttle to the mall in Penang. It was dirty and scary. And was gonna walk around the surrounding area but it felt really sketchy. Do the batu excursion instead I heard better reviews.
