So pretty. I did the bat caves and kayak excursion through the mangroves and it was amazing ,but not for the weak or lazy. And the meal at the end was great.

Langkawi is a nice port the wharf is long then you can get a taxi to the shops lots of different things to buy well worth a look

Take a private driver for the day. We shared with two other paid the driver $60 Aussie for all day. He took us to many interesting places. Duty free is very cheap as they do not have tax. Very safe for families.

Tried walking out to nearby hotel/beach bombarded by taxis drivers outside the port gate, repeated no over and over and over, but they continued walking alongside or even kerb crawling alongside....then went back and used shuttle into town....just a duty free shopping area and more persistent taxi drivers as you got off the coach

It was raining most of the day, but we still enjoyed the island. Yellow Cafe by the Beach is amazing for free wifi and the food is great!
