Awesome place, we can’t wait to get back! We did the Glow Worm And Thermal Pools Kayaking here which was great but exhausting. There wasn’t a lot of glow worms here so a little disappointing but we had great guides who were knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful place. Walked around Mount Maunginui and swam at the beach.

We climbed Mt Maunganui! Yes...UP! It wasn't an easy walk by any stretch, with even the seasoned, daily walkers saying it doesn't get any easier, but the view!! So worth it. Do it if you can. Take your time...sit on the seats provided to catch your breath, if you can as the views are breathtaking. Great shopping here for souvenirs, and good wifi at the Mexican place or Burger King.
