Yes but before the cruise! Felt safe and enjoyed Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf, even though very windy!

Fantastic views sailing in, lots to see, Christ the Redeemer there’s lifts and escalators if you look for them so easier than it looks, Carnival is late and loud but fun, Copacabana beach good and feels safe. Just be aware other entertainment like museums shut down during Carnival.

We did a small group day excursion organised by the ship. It was excellent and Rio is amazing, good to have 2 days in port.

Scary and dirty. The tour we took was great because of the guide.
