For many on board this was deep down the reason for taking this cruise. Rounding the cape is a sailors dream. Not much to see but something special about the experience. I won’t post a picture because you just have to do it.

This is a sail around. We had beautiful weather with which to see the lighthouse and monument. We were told that our sunny and clear weather was rare for this area where strong winds and rough seas are the norm.

Cape Horn absolutely gorgeous -- it was such a beautiful day and worth getting up at 5 am to see it!!!

We did a sail by only. The focal point of Cape Hirn was too far away to enjoy.
