Not much you can do outside a 4 hour tour, if you have a 17 hour layover but sit on the floor and watch your luggage at a hotel whose staff was not interested in servicing Oceania passengers. Marriott did have a nice buffet for lunch at our expense ($80 US)

We took a bus to the shopping area. Disappointing as it was just like our shopping malls here.

We were not impressed with Lima Peru. The fountain exhibit is a must. There is a nice shopping center in Miraflores.

For some reason, I expected Lima to be my favorite port of the cruise. It wasn't; however, it was nice to visit Lima.

Because of the traffic, the tour took 6 hours instead of 4.

Very surprised at how bad traffic was and dirty everything was. For a capital city, Lima is very 3rd world.
