We ended up purchasing a city tour because we were warned about the dangers of the city, did not feel safe going out on our own. The different areas of the city were very interesting, beautiful, and also sad.

Warned not to venture in certain areas. Heard that some passengers were mugged. Scheduled excursion was cancelled.

Have been there before. Did the HOHO bus. We had two days in port so also went to a Tango show one night. A high end jewellery store offers free shuttle buses into the centre of town and back to the port so we took one of them the second day for several hours.

Not much choices as far as HAL excursions. We did a private fishing trip - it was great! BA was overwhelming big!

We came a day early but were so tired after the flight we just rested in our motel room. But the city actually looked very nice for the short walk that we took.
