Nice people, excellent excursion on the Rio Dulce, read a lot of reviews where people were scared of this port due to it being one of the largest shipping ports in Central America , but it was beautiful out on the river and one of our favorite excursions!

Didn’t do an excursion after the previous days zip lining so thought a day chilling on the advertised beach would be good. Do not go! This is not a beach it was awful, dog mess all over and felt very unsafe. I’m surprised the Norwegian advertise this as a 5 mins walk to a beach! Stay on the ship

We went to the big warehouse building, in port, where there is a huge open market. When you first walk in, there is a table set up for WiFi. $3 for 30 minutes. Also there is a welcome table where you can get your passport stamped and they’ll give you a free bracelet. No AC so it does get warm. Be ready to be approached by vendors - smile and be polite. I bought a necklace and negotiated a price. I also got a bag of Guatemalan coffee there.
