Very large number of sales tents. Not much here air conditioned. Wifi at a couple of places for small purchase like a soft drink. Venders were abundant and very nice. You can easily spend a couple of hours or more there.

Tour buses were on the dock, however not all had arrived. Huge groups of passengers trying to get onto the buses. Hot, unorganised and the delays meant we weren't able to see Antigua, except from the bus. Our tour should have included 90 minutes in Antigua but this was reduced to about 15 minutes and still the ship had to delay departure waiting for us and several other buses.

Did the NCL Antigua on Your Own trip, got lost and was abandoned there. I was really frightened, not knowing the language and all alone. However, beside being abandoned by the NCL tour guide, the city was super cool and I loved that I stumbled upon a free museum and the ancient walled city was surrounded by volcanos.

Amazing volcano hike. Ensure you are up to walking up hill on uneven surfaces for 2hours. (Horse ride available for those who can’t / don’t want to walk it.

I took an excursion to a jade factory and Antigua. It was interesting. The port itself is far away from anything.
