The four stars is purely for the Sloth sanctuary tour my family and I did. However would I get off the ship for this port? Probably not. Costa Rica is not what the Tv shows make it look like or at least Limon looks nothing like the Costa Rica the TV programmes on discovery channel show. When we travelled in May/June the heat was immense and uncomfortable. Overall it looked like a very poor place to take cruise ship passengers.

Very shady sketchy port did the train ride boat ride excursion, was some kind of protesting going on bus was heavily armed with assault weapons in case we were stopped by the protesters trying to rob tourists.

Loved Costa Rica, did a bus/train/boat tour. Beautiful landscape, fun to see the various animals. Had a great stop where they served fresh pineapple, bananas and beverages.

We spent an entertaining and informative day at a rain forest. I’d recommend this excursion. There is little or nothing to do immediately outside the port, although vendors set up a fairly large shopping are at the port, and prices there are reasonable. Bargaining is part of the fun.

Loved Costa Rica. We went to the sloth sanctuary, we saw sloths and monkeys in the trees. We saw the banana plantation. Would have loved to stayed longer.

Did not have enough time in this port due to the delay in the canal and our arrival to this port was late. Most of the excursions were cancelled due to time constraints. I was very disappointed as I had an all day excursion booked to see Limon. This was beyond Caribbean Princess control. I took a excursion to a Dole banana farm. I know all about growing bananas now🤣

We did a Zipline through the rainforest here. Great fun! You must do this! Very interesting ride through the countryside to get there.... our guise told us alot about CR on the way.
