Caldera is a container port and a 15 min. cab ride to Puenarenas, which can only handle two ships, which is why we were stuck in Caldera, I assume! Very inconvenient!

This was total madness. The Norwegian Pearl docked the same time we did and we had to wait for them to tie up before we could disembark. This made things a nightmare for getting off the ship and getting to our excursions. The country is very beautiful and the people extremely friendly so I don't want the docking issue to reflect badly on them.

Did a private 8 hour tour with Odyssey Tours. Loved it! Modern bus with a/c and wifi. Very good guide, and we went lots of places where a bug bus could not go.

Enjoyed the colorful dancers near the ship. Went on a boat and rail excursion that was enjoyable.
