Loved this port, this was the highlight of my trip. Going through the canal was amazing. I also visited the Indigenous traditional village of the Embers Tribe in the rain forest. Saw various animal during the boat ride to the village. Enjoyed this excursion.

I loved this. It was the highlight watching the ship entering the locks to Gatun Lake. I did an excursion to the new locks and former Canal Zone. At the observation area saw a container ship entering the canal being pulled by a tugboat in front and pushed by a tugboat in back. Fascinating!

What a marvel. Loved watching and we booked the excursion through the cruise line to go through the locks with a small vessel. "Panama Canal & Locks Transit by Boat" which cost us $339.90. It was crazy to see how many vessels, we were next to a huge shipping container ship (send chills down my spine). I kinda regret not staying on the ship the whole time since we had a balcony cabin. It was a long day with a long bus ride back. I almost forgot, our bus got pulled over by the policia! They apparently wanted some money but our feisty guide starting yelling at him and threatening him that she would notify her friends who were government officials because it was illegal for him to stop tour buses and demand money. THAT was just a LITTLE SCARY!

It was something different but not at all exciting. I would have preferred stopping at a place like Panama City

Definitely a wonderful of the world. Everyone should see it at least once. You need find the deck to the Bow of the ship has the best view. On the Island Princess Decks 10 and 11 was the best.
