Going through the "old" canal was pretty interesting in the beginning being guided by the mules (trains). We could not watch from our level 7 balcony and trying to see from the bow 5 people deep wasn't happening. The ships crew tried to make such a fun time and fell short.

The only bad spot, the canal pilot androgynous drivers damaged two non essential parts of the ship. However, going through was quite the experience.

The experience of the canal locks was so interesting to me. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain just as we were going through, so I didn't get quite the up close views I had hoped for, but this is not the fault of the ship ;-)
