We got the bus into the new city and mall, it's very busy. Much like LA difficult to navigate without a car. If shopping is for you, then the ship provides this bus for $10 each. We opted to walk back into town, along a huge cycle and coastal walk. It's beautiful! The old town has colony buildings and is worth a visit, plus cheap food and drink.

Going to visit the Emberá people was disappointing. It is marked as moderate in strenuous level. It is actually very strenuous. You have to get in and out of a canoe 2 times on rocks and mud and climb a steep bank. Many of the older people struggled with it taking 2&3 people helping them in and out of the canoe. Avoid this excursion.
