Nothing to do at the pier. Panama old and new city tour was a waste of time. We got a lazy tour guide, did not even show us the new side of the panama city

Must take Panama Canal Tour. Would have liked 2 days there to take another tour of Panama City and a few other sites.

We hired a cab and spent the day driving to Panama City and our driver insisted we stop at the Gatlun Lock and we have to thank him because it was a wonderful experience to see the canal operate. Panama City was a waste of time..it's a long drive to get there and not much of a city, both the old and new ones. Poverty around the port area. Buy your tee shirts at the port shop before you get back on the ship. They're very good quality and very reasonable.

took the coast to coast train along the canal and it was a very relaxed and enjoyable way to travel along the canal. Bus trip back allowed us to stop at a lock and see the canal and ships up close.

Again unless you pay $200 per person to go on a shore excursion, just stay on the boat.

Horrible Port in area of ship terminal. Took a off ship tour which was very good, took us to Panama City but traffic was horrendeous in Colon

Hell hole! Very poor destitute country. Smell of sewage, etc. The contrast of the affluence of the cruise ship alongside the poverty put a real damper on the tour. Tour guide was nice, but the lunch was a fiasco. We stopped at what amounted to a food court. With the language issues and lack of service made getting lunch a joke. People had to get angry before the tour guide stepped in to help.

Eco lake cruise excursion is an eye popping experience

It is where the ship picks you up when you come back from the excursion. The souvenir shops are rip offs. Granted you on a vacation, but the price of a Panama hat was three times what you found in a tourist shop inside the city

Port call was on Christmas day, most stores were closed and stop was only about 3 hours, too short a time to get off and on shop and still have time to explore.
