We took a tour of old Panama, and although our guide was very good, going through Colon looked like a war zone. The buildings looked bombed out and people were actually living there. I truly felt bad for these people. Seeing this snuffed the joy out of the tour. Panama City was slightly better, but the stop for lunch was a joke. We had 30 minutes to eat at what I would call a food court here in the States. The service was nonexistent! And the process was confusing. Our guide had to get involved several times to resolve language issues with the so called servers. The guide didn’t help initially. People had to get peeved to get her attention. We got so frustrated, I ended up just getting an empanada and tea! I are when we got back to the ship.
