Loved the history this place has, amazing and beautiful! Very very hot. Omg the Port as soon as you get off there's like a bird sanctuary, theirs parrots, monkeys, just beautiful!

We have been to this Port before. If you have a cabin on the Port side, you will get an excellent view of the city and pix. A walking tour of Old Town and a bus tour of the rest of the city is good. However, the city bus tour was open air . This time we just walked from the ship to the Oasis, which has a gift ship, mini zoo, and eating facilities. A great place to take some pix of South American animals!

Although it is one of the most beautiful ports with a bird sanctuary, restaurant and shop, the city of Cartagena was not an enjoyable experience. We did an old city and food tasting tour. Traffic congestion getting to old city, the constant peddling of goods and performances was very uncomfortable.

We did the Hop Off, Hop On Bus Experience. This was challenging because of the hundreds of street vendors that are in your face the entire time. Trying to be respectful in declining their goods takes a lot. Made the experience very annoying.

Highly recommend the mangrove canoe trip. Interesting to see the roads less traveled. Definitely suggest you stick with organized tour. Aggressive begging throughout the city.

Very cool aviary/zoo right at the port. Many taxi drivers to take you to the walled city for sightseeing. Absolutely the most beautiful city we’ve ever been to. Can’t wait to visit again. This is the first port where we absolutely will book an itinerary just for this stop.
