OK, this may be unfair. We did a shore excursion visiting Mayan ruins with "lunch". I won't go into excruciatingly long detail, for I don't want to expend that kind of time. We were suppose to meet in port at 9AM (ships time) There were [3] CCL ships in port (Spirit, Vista, Dream). It was extreemly windy and the ships were moored at least 6-7 miles offshore. The tender boats took 25 minutes to get from the ship to the docks. The ships time did not match the local time. All that insured a perfect storm of causing everything to be 2 hours late. While the tour itself was interesting and informative, getting there (and back) was no fun at all, and it put a taint on the whole experience. In fairness, I would give it another star had we not experienced all the delays.

We visited the Lamanai ruins through a carnival excursion. The excursion included a one hour bus ride, followed by a 20 minute ride in a river boat. Once we arrived at the ruins, we saw three large temples, and were allowed to climb on two of them. The only negative of the excursion was that many people did not realize it is a fairly strenuous activity.

We went on the cave tour on tubes. Enjoyed the lunch very much! Long trip out, about an hour and 15 minutes. Great tour guide "Ed"

o Great weather in Belize. Also got the first tender off the ship. The Party Bus was mad fun! Same crew on the bus from last year. o We did have some early audio problems with the party bus sound system. They need a Bluetooth device & wireless mic to avoid future issues. Pretty sure we accidentally left the party bus without tipping the staff. That’s what happens when you drink too much rum punch! o Great shopping day at Diamonds Intl! We bought the same ring in Belize that was half the price of Roatan! o Enjoyed a late lunch at the Midpoint Bar & Grill. The fish & the chicken were tasty!

My family and I arrived to Roatan Thursday. My parents unfortunately lost $200 and their Id's on the port. We were very bummed out. To our surprise, when we got back on the ship, someone had turned it in! There are still great people out there! We did not get to meet the person, whoever you are THANK YOU!

We had never been here before so we figured we'd just check out the port area. The port area consists of not so great shopping and is surrounded by barb wire fence. We did not venture out of the port area. Constantly asked to buy something. This is a tender port and the tender ride takes about 20 minutes. Be prepared and bring all you need to avoid multiple tender trips. Highly recommend an excursion here. If we ever go back we'll stay on the ship or do an excursion.
