If the weather is clear- you can get great views of Mt Fuji from the ship. We took a ships tour that included the Nihon-Daira Observatory tower and cablecar to the Shinto temple, then drive to the pine forest and beach for views of Mt Fuji. But beware of long queues for the cable car and thousands of steps!

Went to near Mt Fugi and could see the top & bottom but clouds between but enjoyed Shimizu. One of there TV stations we on the dock interviewing folks which my husband was part of.

We used the public tram with the help of a local man who headed us off in the right direction! We got to Minho no Matsubara to see the pine forest, black beach and a great view of Mt Fuji. We took the tram back to town and walked to a tea shop for a tasting of tea and some gifts to take home. It was a great day.

We took the water bus to Miho to see an aquarium which was free, and it also had a beach and pine tree forest. Weather was gorgeous and you can see Mount Fuji from the ship.

Done an excursion to see My Fuji, lucky only a little cloud. Can see Fuji from ship as you sail in if it's a fine day. Also went to Shiraito water falls.
