It is very far from HoChiMinh City. Since I had been on this excursion twice, this time I just visited the market by the free shuttle.

I really enjoyed seeing the city and the history of this port of call. Watch out for the scooters because they are not watching out for you!

Never was I disappointed I always wanted to visit this place it was great however our tour guide lost 4 people I shouted out to her 3 times stop your going too fast theres old people and it was single file we waited 30 minutes until she back tracked to find the people so if you go try to keep up there’s too many bikes it’s very easy to get left behind.

Went back into Saigon 50 years later. Saw The Presidential Palace, PO, Notre Dame Cathedral and a few other sites. I really don't think the city has changed that much.

This port is a bus ride from Saigon which is worth a look. They say to avoid the 1000 dong note because it can't be exchanged. But with a value of about four cents a piece it is a souvenir picture of Ho Chi Minh you can get for all your friends and relatives.

Again, got a VietTel pre-paid sim card at an actual store that looked like a Verizon store. Be careful because counterfeit cards are out there and the government regularly shuts them all off. But they own VietTel, so they know which are legit and don't shut them off. We got 3GB of data that lasted us the 4 ports easily. There's also wifi everywhere including public parks and beaches, which is nice. Just got to find it! LOL You can do this city in probably two days, but we only had one so we went up the tallest building. They have a restaurant up there so save your elevator ticket for a discount or go up free and pay full price. The Reunificaiton Palace, government stuff, and museums are all right near Starbucks, so have a nice walk. Don't try to drive. Cross the streets slowly and steadily and the cars will stop and the motorbikes will go around you. We ate at Ngon restaurant Saigon which was excellent, filling, and worked out to be $11 for two. Nice restaurant, really and free wifi. Not my favorite city in Vietnam, but a good introduction. The people are very nice. They have Uber.
