We walked to the confuscious temple and gardens a few blocks from the pier. We then walked down -kokusai-dori street. 20 min walk and tried the purple sweet potato that is acclaimed to be super healthy and why people live longer here. We totally enjoyed sauntering along and enjoying the pleasant ambience.

Would have loved to do this port but as our visit was cut short not enough time. We were avoiding Typhoon Lingling.

Included tour consisted of a park (nothing to do or see) for 30 mins., an overlook and 20 mins. at the Okinawa Memorial at which the Museum had already closed. Optional tour was excellent.

Immigration took lots of time again. Typhoon approaching so port time cut to 12:30 pm

A disappointing port call. The city itself didn't offer much to see, nor did the ship's excursions. Didn't see much reason for this port call.
