If you have no excursion, here’s a TIP: download the app called: Dart. It should be yellow. It’s this countries “Uber.” There’s nothing to do at the port and hard to get a taxi unless you have that app. It takes 30 minutes to get to the center. We ordered our taxi to take us to the Sultans palace which is the biggest house in the world: Istana Nural Iman. The guard was friendly and we actually saw the King leave, he drives himself around. Then our taxi driver dropped us off at the beautiful Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddien. The mosque is in the city center where you can find food, shopping or take a boat to see the water village. Brunei is a wealthy, clean country. The people are friendly and respectful.

Brunei is so unique. Clean, wealthy and mellow.

The tour would have been more interesting if instead of visiting a water village for the third day in a row. the river cruise had gone another 5 minutes to see the largest palace in the world which is undoubtedly the place to not miss in Brunei.

Brunei is an unusual place, we did a city tour, water village visit, and a wildlife river cruise.
