Definitely going back to Tasmanian and Hobart. No way to do everything in the time we were in port. Again didn't bother with an excursion.

It was cold, make sure you bring warm clothes. Go to Mures restaurant near where the bot docks. Great fish & chips there.

lt was quite warm the day we were in Hobart. Plenty of history here. Catch the hop on hop off bus and tour the City. We also did a night time ghost tour. Didn't see any ghosts but it was fun.

Another great stop. Did a HAL excursion, Wildlife and Waterways, one of the best HAL tours. Short walk through a tropical forest to a waterfall, then on to a farm for sheep and wonderful wine and steak lunch, then to a wildlife sanctuary. Up close hand feeding of kangaroos, pictures with Koalas, views of Tasmanian Devils (ugly little creatures) and many other animals. Great guide. Great day.

We had a lovely time in Hobart on our recent Celebrity Solstice Cruise NZ to Sydney. The hop on and off buses were a great way to see the local Hobart area and came with historical commentary by the driver. These charming red double decker buses with and without tops added to the historical feel. They left from the marked bus areas regularly and were a good price too!

It's an exciting place to visit especially if you visit the place where you feed the Kangaroos and get to see the Kuala Bears, Devils, etc.
