Review summary

If every cruise is at least as good as this one, I will have no complaints. Princess cruises had everything organised and as a first time experience I was very satisfied.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Well managed by Princess Cruises, plenty of staff doing check in, took maybe 20 minutes to get on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I was really surprised at how good the food was across the ship. The buffet was fresh, and the seated dining was excellent with great waiting staff. We also ate at Curtis Stones "SHARE" and was one of the best dinners we have had.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty to do, in fact we had trouble scheduling all the good stuff in, as we were away on tours most days

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great variety of entertainment across the ship. The ones we saw were really good. Also they had the Travelling Film Show on board

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff on board were excellent, friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Arnel who was our steward and made out trip. We only had marginally slow service in one of the specialty restaurants, but that was about it.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout was OK (don't know any different being 1st cruise) Easy to get around, and pretty healthy too using the stair cases rather than lifts - we averaged just under 10,000 steps per day during our cruise and consequently didn't put on much weight. Crew were always cleaning, and plenty of hand wash dispensers everywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was OK, clean, but maybe a little small, would have been nice to have 2 chairs in it, but realistically we were hardly ever there. Biggest complaint we had was the air conditioning noise, engineering managed to get it down to an acceptable level which we got used to, but maybe newer ships have quieter ones?

Ship tip

Go see the Maitre'D and the Executive Chef do their culinary show. Best entertainment of the cruise. DO NOT MISS IT !!!!
