Red Lotus had a driver and guide waiting for us on arrival. They took us for a tour of Halong Bay. They rented a boat that included lunch for us. We toured the bay and visited the cave. The guide and driver drove us to Hanoi to the Sheraton Hanoi where we had made our own reservations. The price of the tours included lunch and admissions to all sited visited. The next morning the driver and guide picked us up at the hotel for a tour of Hanoi. We attempted to visit the memorial of Ho Chi Minh but the lines were very long with students and over visitor, We visited a couple other locations in the city and returned to the Ho Chi Minh Memorial after it was closed. We took pictures of the area. We went to a water puppet show and shopping after. We returned to the ship later in the evening.

The cruise around the bay was like being in a Chinese scroll painting. Everywhere you looked nature gave you a beautiful sight.

Excellent port. Lots of effort made to clean and remove garbage other ports and surrounding countryside were littered with garbage. Private excursion on Ha Long Bay with Travel Authentic Asia. An excellent day! Beautiful place!

Ended up with an overnight here sue to port changes because of the Corona virus. Glad we did. Gorgeous at night. Daytime was cloudy and foggy but spectacular at night.

Ths was in communist North Vietnam and we were given the "party line" a lot. Almost missed my second excursion the Water Puppet show because the tour guide added a stop at a pearl factory to try and sell jewelry.

Didn't go to Hanoi as this was 7 hour return drive from the port. Pre-booked a tour independent of the cruise. Didn't see much of the bay. Pearl factory was interesting and informative. Very interesting fish market.

We were booked on Halong znat by Boat run by Greyline booked on your web site. What's disaster. Because here were only 4 people they muvjkrd us around for 2 hours then added us onto another boat companies trip. The food was cvold and inedible. Bitterly disappointed

This was by far my favorite port of the entire trip. Ha Long Bay was as fabulous as I expected it to be.
