The beach was nice and there was a little free zoo to walk through in the city center. The ruined fortress on the hill was worth a trip but we were accosted by all manner of vendors there trying to force baby sheeps in my kids hands, putting my children on camels without my permission, and wrapping snakes around them expecting payment. It was not fun and not worth arguing over price with the cab driver for the view and attack of cute animal peddlers. Shopping downtown was much easier.

Be aware the only way to visit Agadir under your own steam is by using the local taxi drivers who come to the ship, this involves haggling. Stick to a price, we paid €10 to get to McDonalds (just because it's central) , €8 return. They will try for €20 or more.

We were advised to go on an excursion here, as there could be problems with thieves. We went to the Fort on the hill, the biggest mosque in Agadir, and the beach. Were a little rushed as the guide and driver seemed to want to get back early. Still a very interesting excursion to a place we had never been to before

Except for the "Disney World" Medina the excursion took us too, Agadir was a nice port to visit. (Having seen real Medinas, this was not close to the real experience but still enjoyable - much cleaner than the real thing!)
