It seemed all there was to do was shop in the stores at the port but we still had fun.

went to the nearest beach and did some shopping. Met a local tour guide there did a tour of the town very interesting experiance

Dirt poor area. I was nervous walking the strip. So many poor people that it was sad. I don't have to ever return. I did get a massage that was well worth it and cheap.

Take this port for what it is. Very poor city. Do not do the Corona beach party, do the VIP beach or Mi CASA es Su CASA. This is an industrial/shipping port. Most of the people that are working there are from Merida not the Progresso area. Tour guides were awesome from Total Gusto

Second time going to this port. Not impressed at all. My family stayed on the ship. It would be great if it was setup like amber cove with the pool and activities right beside the port.

Very nice port with wonderful people. We took a bus to Hotel Reef Yucatan, all inclusive beach day. Our tour guide on the bus was awesome and the staff at the hotel were a lot of fun.

Not a great port. Industrial port is your view. Better have a excursion booked. We went to a day resort , stayed in pool because beach was green and smelled bad. Fishy smell.

Alex our guide was awesome on the way to our all-inclusive beach resort, but many on the bus just wanted to party.

We did not do an excurion, but we took public transportation into Merida. It was a lengthy drive and we didn't have much time to check out the sites there. However we have discussed going back when we can spend a couple days there.

Escursion was great but I got sick there so be careful what you eat or touch.
