We were told this stop was extremely dangerous and to get off at our own risk. There is a 6 mile bus trip to get to Progreso from where the ship docks. We ended up staying on the ship.

We did the Salza and Salza excursion. We say a few historically sites in the city before we went to this quaint 20 room hotel. In the restaurant we made two kinds of salsa and one dish of quacamole! We also ordered lunch and it was fantastitic. We then learned the Salza in the back garden.

Beaches are beautiful. Town itself is kind of dirty and traffic is a mess. We did the double decker bus tour and learned a lot of history.

We got off the ship and visited a booth for the Technotel. It was $35pp, all inclusive with transportation. My 10 year old was $22 and my 8 year old was free. But everyone wants a tip so take note. Bring your 1's and 5's. This was our 3rd time to Progreso. They try but it's nothing like Cozumel.

we did the Mayan Ruins and beach tour. was great, really hot that day. Tour bus A/C went out and the staff did a great job handling the situation getting another bus

Last minute excursion to see Dzibilchaltun Mayan ruins and Corona beach. There was lots of walking. Our tour guide Adam was awesome.
