Loved it we enjoyed going through the city and checking everything out the Mayan ruins were amazing I'm just so in love with that little place it is a great place to visit and almost go back in time I don't know that I would a hundred percent want to spend the night but it is a experience you will never forget it'll make you remember how well we actually have it here in America

The folks in progreso were so friendly. I had no problem since I speak Spanish 😳 $1 Coronas is unbelievable. Me myself I’m a Guinness drinker. No Guinness in the island 😳 So I drank me a Mexican coke 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The food was so cheap & good. When getting off the bus at progreso. Right in front of the bus is 3 massage places. I recommend the orange color bldg. I’ll post the card for info. Is the orange card with prices & length. Cruisers please take at least $25 in ones for tipping. The bus ride is free with tipping. I don’t believe how many folks I seen not tipping . What one dollar is going to break you. You will see how a few dollars in tipping will get you.

Originally we were scheduled for the Family Beach excursion, but they said there had been a communication issue so instead we got to go to an all inclusive resort. The resort was beautiful, family friendly, included swimming pools, beach access, a buffet, and delicious adult beverages. The water was calm enough to swim in and was a pretty green color (although I'm sure it's clearer when the water isn't all hurricane churned). We found a lot of beach treasurers to bring home and had a great time with our guide Mario!

We had a great time in progresso. The water is so shallow the pier goes 7 miles out into the ocean. We went to the beach and I was able to walk 300 yards out into the ocean and the water was only waist deep. When we went it was a relatively new port for carnival so it will probably improve as time goes on.

Im so glad we booked a excursion at this Port , only wished it would have been thru the ship not shoreexcurssioneer.com. Got on a small tour van , was taken to the tour companies office , where we were bombarded by aggressive vendors for over an hour waiting to embark on our Dzichibultan Ruins & Merida City tour. We loved the old world feel of the city , but we were cramped on a small tour van and spent as much time traveling as we did actually touring. We were taken to a restaurant that our guide chose ( meal wasnt provided) and had to rush back to the van to get back to the Port. Will always book thru ship from now on.

Went to Chitchen Itza and absolutely loved it! Also lived the cenote we went to afterward. The gauntlet of pushy vendors at Chitchen Itza is the only downside of the excursion. I would definitely go again.
