City needs to improve its sidewalks- oterwise a lovely city- one of our favourites to visit many great restaurants and shops - My favourite shop is Mary's - next to La Perla

Was very surprised by this location. When you arrive it doesn't look like much, but take the Shuttle to downtown, it reminded me of Santa Barbara. The surrounding area is a desert.

I got off to do shopping only right at the pier--looked like they had about 15 large tents set up. There was a surprisingly good selection of Mexican handicrafts with merchants who were less harassing than usual. Prices were decent if you bargained. There were shuttles available to take you to La Paz which is about 20 minutes away and those who went said it was beautiful.

25 minute bus ride from the port to the waterfront malecon. A "volunteer" (for tips) was on the bus to tell the passengers about the town and things to do in the area. Water sports and boat excursions available.

My wife and friends took the bus to the beach. They said it was really nice and I should have gone with them.

This was a new port for us. We took the complimentary shuttle to Tecolote beach. Restaurants, beach chairs and crystal clear water.

Went snorkelling. Saw seals, cranes,and many other birds. Water was pretty cold. Some wore wet suits.
