We had an excursion to the rural areas scheduled. It was canceled due to violence from rival cartels battling over turf after arrest of a couple cartel heads. Last time there we had an excursion planned also. It also went bad. SO, don't bother with a Mazatlan excursion.

We did the all inclusive beach getaway. Very nice property. Water taxi on the property to take you from beach to pool. Food was great, surprisingly.
