I took a cab from the ship into the golden zone and shopped around. My cab driver gave me a tour, he was born and raised there and shared some history also. Mexican cab drivers are just the best. They love their country and want to share with you. I had never been there before so it was great. I shopped around, and walked around. Next time I will eat there for sure.

Did excursion to resort -La Dulce Vista resort all day treated like we were the only ones there! It was a great day in pool, food and drinks. Showing us how to make salsa, tasted tequilas and had a private restroom.

This was an industrial port with shuttles to the main gate. We did the light house hike which was so informative with a dude named Christobal who was absolutely worth every penny we paid for the excursion. We visited old town Mazatlan afterwards and had a great meal. Christobal kept mentioning "it's very safe, stay on the blue line, you'll be safe". There's a blue line painted on the sidewalk/road from old town Mazatlan to the port. At every intersection along that road, police officers were present. We felt very safe while walking this route, and had absolutely no hassle from local vendors while off the ship

Really unnecessary port. Parked right next to a cargo port. Not many good pictures to take if you don’t get off the ship. Preferably, don’t get off.
