Snorkeling at Gaviota Island and Balandra Bay and with Sea Lion pups and their moms. Fantastic!! Next time we will participate in the whale shark encounter.

We took a private boat tour to swim with whale sharks. This was a bucket list item and the highlight of our trip. If you have any interest in whale sharks, this is the place to find them on the west coast.

There is a free shuttle to the town. It is about a 30 minute ride so plan accordingly.

This is a relatively new port and as such is not as 'tourist-y and commercial' as some other ports. But on this one you have to do a shore excursion because the actual town of La Paz is quite a distance from the port.

Did not see downtown, instead took the free shuttle to Tecolote Beach and had an amazing time in the warmish clear turquoise water. So strange to see such beautiful water surrounded by cacti and other desert landscaping.

Found out after the tour that their were free shuttles to town and the beach Our Historical La Paz City tour was a waste of money And we would have rather seen the city on our own

The biggest secret of this cruise was this wonderful little port .... the restaurants, shops and 'kick-back' atmosphere was not to be missed. We only wish the ship had spent more time here.

We had an animal/reptile zoo visit planned but it was canceled by the boat. We were bummed, but the beach and downtown areas were beautiful to visit and the people were so friendly. We would definitely go back.
