Very busy port here, and friendly locals. We took a taxi for 100 solomon dollars per hr, down to Turtle Beach about 45mins drive away. We paid $3 each to swim there, and the water was clean inviting, and refreshing. Stopped at a roadside BBQ on the way back, and then shared an ice cream with our taxi driver and other passengers on our way back to the ship. If you ever come to this port, try and get to this beach as it was a piece of paradise. Always try to carry local currency here, the locals will appreciate it if you do. Exchange rate for us was $19 Austn per 100 Solomon dollars.

Walked off the ship here, and into the town 200m away. Found a clean taxi and ask him to take us to a tropical beach. He drove us 45mins to the north and took us to a beach which cost us around $2 to swim at. The beach had beautiful white sand and refreshing warm water to soak your tensions away. We shared this beach and our taxi with one other couple from the ship, who would have been stranded there without us arriving with a taxi for return to the ship. The taxi trip worked out at about$10 per hour and we were more than happy to pay our driver $50 in their currency for 4.5hrs of service.
