We did Waimea Canyon absolutely breathtaking, on the second day we did Hollywood movies and waterfalls this is the best tour you see the island and the staff were very knowledgeable on the movie made in Kauai, they showed you a lot of things you would never know unless you take the tour.

You have a full day and a half here, so it's a perfect place to rent a convertible and see the sights. We loved the Kilauea lighthouse, but the falls and other highly-touted spots are also wonderful. On this, as with all of the islands, the drives are short and the distances very reasonable, even if the maps may make the drives seem longer, especially if you're used to the mainland states.

We rented a car and went to Waimea canyon. The view is beautiful.

One of us went ziplining among the treetops and the other for a long walk through some wonderful gardens. A great day for both of us.

Toured the Grand Canyon of the Pacific in a 12 passenger van; van was very difficult for senior citizens to crawl over the wheel well to get to the back seat. I understand there were 2 of these vans and I think they should have used a mini bus that would have been more easily accessible for all passengers. This was our first visit to Kauai and I'm sure we would have enjoyed it in a different mode of transportation. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and did his best to show us his island.
