We live on Kauai, so didn't do the tourist stuff... went and checked on our animals. Make sure you tell people to take a helicopter ride and be sure to drive to the North Shore. Met many who didn't even know that the N. Shore is where the waterfalls are....

Tender, another bummer. Rented car again and went to Papau Beach, very beautiful!! Take a towel, no chairs available.

My favorite island. Wish we would have had more time there!

Beach area by ship is great!! Free shuttle to shopping center next to beach makes for inexpensive stop and Dukes restaurant at Beach is very nice.

We rented a car and did surfing lessons on the North Shore on our own. It was a lot cheaper. It was also a nice way to see the Northern side of the island. We also went horseback riding. It was very hot, but it was neat to ride horses on the white sand beaches. This was a great way to learn about the island and its history.

We like the 'quieter' atmosphere. Again went (on our own) on side trips which were memorable.
