Favorite stop. Played Hokuala Ocean View Golf Course (omg); enjoyed Kapaluki Beach; the Marriott Botanical Gardens were amazing; the LUAU was awesome; the sunset cruise down the Na Apoli coastline was breathtaking.

Our 1st excursion- kayak, hike & waterfall was canceled due to potential flash floods. Great beach at Hilton, which we did instead. 2nd day booked Helicopter flight directly through Blue Hawaiian and they still gave us round trip shuttle from ship. The day was crystal blue skies and so clear we were able to make rare visit into the original volcano crater, which is done

We were greeted by a Hawaiian hula dancer, two musicians, and received a lei. Just wonderful! The excursion to two plantations were top notch.

No excursion. This is a great port for excursions but not so much if you just want to walk around, We took a shuttle to K-Mart and walked around there. What we enjoyed the most was the weather, warm and moist.

No excursion here. Insider tip: The port is a way from the city. Walkable for some but not for most maybe. Hard to get a cab or Uber as in the morning those people (if you can find one) only want to do day long things where they show you the sights. The Hilo Hattie's shuttle can be a long wait. BUT the Wal-Mart shuttle goes more often and the Wal-Mart is about a block from Hilo Hattie's so you can go to Wal-Mart, walk in and buy a little something, walk over to Hilo Hattie's, then back to Wal-Mart for the shuttle back to the ship. Also the trolley type shuttle leaves you at a very nice little shopping area and right across the street is the other shopping area and you can trolley or shuttle back to the ship with ease. Don't forget a little something to tip the drivers.
