Tenders are always a pain in the butt. Way too short of a day in port. We ubered to the car rental and did the northern road around towards Hanna. Ask the rental car people for a map. We went up to JAWs surfing competition. Which was so super-cool. The drive was really lovely and not all that scary. The we doubled back to paia, got shaved ice and then cut across the island to get back to drop the rental car. Maui has the best views along the shore. Ensure you have time to stop frequently when doing the dive.

We did the Atlantis submarine excurshion and walked around the shops downtown. Wanted to rent a car, but with the rental companies closing at 4 was really not worth the cost. Would have like to see more of the island.

Loved the port actually my favorite island! Poor tinder to and from the ship! Two lifeboats for 4,000 people is not a very well planned visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed the port. Glad to spend 2 days in Lahaina. No excursions. Rented vehicle and drove part of road to Hana, and then up Haleakala. Shopping and beach were close.

We loved the Zip Lining & Road to Hana tour. We booked both excursions off the boat because everything on the boat was sold out as soon as we got on.

Lahaina has lots to see. But, here's where I learned a lesson. A wildfire broke out at 9am in the mountains of the island & the roads were closed on that side at about 1pm. We had to be rescued by Pacific Whale Foundation after the harbor we were diverted to was evacuated. Celebrity did not "notify" us until 4:47pm. Advice: turn on local radio, do not rely on Celebrity or even your travel agent to make you aware or resolve your issue because you can't get thru on the emergency ph# during an actual emergency. Ge the cell ph# of others onboard to utilize during emergencies.

Really enjoyed Lahaina, Maui. Clean, lovely island, friendly people. However the tenders to the island and back left a lot to be desired! Very long waiting lines, tenders were very dirty. Coming back to the ship was the same, very long line ups.
