Day 5 Kona went Scuba Diving and Nic hung out by the beach. This was the tender port and it takes about 15 minutes total to get to the shore. The beach was right there. You could rent snorkel gear for a few dollars.

Except for having to use the tender to get there, this was my favorite port. Quaint village. What you picture in Hawaii. Shops don't open early for chips.

We ate at a local Japanese Restaurant, it was great. We even got 'Bentos" box lunches to go. Rental car agencies are quite far from the pier. Kona coffee is the bomb!!!

Took a taxi to the beach to snorkel and swim. So many fish and green sea turtles swam right past us!!

Had to go over to Kona in a boat to be sure to get a Hard Rock Glass for someone back home.

Took the tenders into port and took the city bus to a snorkeling beach. It was amazing with sea turtles and fish galore. The best in my life!

Tendering is always a little inconvenient. We swam at the beach. A terrible waiter/good singer served us less-than-memorable food on shore.
