Rented a car and drove the road to Hana. Unfortunately it was raining very hard and there were flash flood advisories. The waterfalls were very full of water and I think we saw a few that were not normally there. Second day drive to Lahaina for some shopping( most shops of any areas we visited) and then on to Ka’anapali beach. Nice beach but there are a lot of rocks in the water making it hard to swim

This port is very industrial. There is NOTHING to do around here. You will have to plan on getting away either on an excursion, taxi, or rental car.

I loved road to Hana. A note to those with mobility issue is that this port is difficult. There is about 1/2 mile walk to catch an Uber or non- cruise excursion. When we asked about a taxi for the 1/2 mile we were meet with a rude why can’t you walk. That’s was the one weird rude experience of our trip. I don’t know why but a lady at the pier was in charge of taxis and she just didn’t get it. Some of my party simply can’t do the 1/2 mile without a wheelchair which I didn’t bring. I only had a walker.
